What do you do when you see that something in your world needs to change?

You can kick and scream.

You can get angry or sad.

You can do nothing, of course, and let things happen naturally.

Or, you can do like three enterprising Professors at the University of Wisconsin -- Walter A. Wittich , C.J. Anderson, and John Guy Fowlkes -- and try to make a difference.

You can say something.

You can do something.

You can start a newsletter or a magazine.

You can write a letter.

You can try to gain support for your cause and try to help the people who share your vision, like they did.

Like other adults in post-World War II America, these professors took the problems of juvenile delinquency and social decay very seriously. They thought that these problems could be eliminated if students were more engaged in school. They hoped that if students could learn with all their senses in the classroom, like they do outside of it, they would turn out better.
